Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 21 March 2024.- The exquisite musical delights of “Eat to the Beat” return this spring to Miller Hall in Santa Catalina Park. This season's line-up features three unmissable dates for the music lover's agenda: on Friday 5 April, following an opening act by Said Muti, one of the founders of MClan, Carlos Tarque, will open the programme as Tarque & La Asociación del Riff; Saturday 20 April will feature the electronic funk and groove of The Next Movement; and on Saturday 4 May, one of the greatest guitar shows will take to the stage: Electric Guitarlands.

“Eat to the Beat”, a project organised by Salan Producciones in collaboration with the Department of Culture of the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria City Council, has put tickets on sale through the platform entradascanarias.com, with direct link available at lpacultura.com. The price is 25 euros.

At 20:30 on 5 April, Miller Hall will yield the stage to one of the leading names in Spanish rock. After Said Muti presents a preview of the songs from his next album, Carlos Tarque, a name associated with a long and honest career, will claim the spotlight.

The MClan vocalist, having resumed his solo career, will be joined by La Asociación del Riff, a band made up of outstanding and reputed musicians that include legendary guitarist Carlos Raya, who has leant his talents to the likes of Leiva and countless others, as well as percussionist Coki Giménez and bassist Iván González, both talents with many years of experience in important Spanish bands.

Saturday 20 April is yet another headline date for “Eat to the Beat”, when at 20:30, Miller Hall will welcome the Swiss trio The Next Movement, who dazzle groove lovers with what they call “explosive funk” and come to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria determined to bring their funky beats to new audiences.

Their live set, according to the band's biography, comes with a healthy dose of fun and humour. Their remarkable talent is no small part of this band’s rise to prominence in the current musical scene.
Led by drummer and singer J.J. Flueck, the trio is rounded out by P. Kaeser on bass and synthesizer and Sam “The Kung-Fu Man” on guitar.

And there is yet another “Eat to the Beat” date confirmed for Saturday 4 May, also at 20:30 at Miller Hall: Electric Guitarlands, considered one of the greatest guitar shows in the current rock scene. The performance includes four iconic rock guitarists: Rowan Robertson, Florian Ophahle, Nick Johnson and Angel Vivaldi, who being players of different styles and from different generations, are certain to put on a powerful and varied show. This will be an unforgettable gathering, where a profound love for the electric guitar is shared and celebrated.
