A violin without limits and a band without borders. Ananda (The Violin Band), led by Rubén Sánchez —concertmaster of the Las Palmas Symphony Orchestra—, explores the instrument’s versatility within a modern ensemble of keyboard, guitar, bass and drums. The violin becomes a traveller across sonic worlds, moving from the romantic depth of Brahms or the rhythmic power of Shostakovich to the iconic energy of Nirvana, Queen and Michael Jackson.
With a vibrant stage presence and a sound that breaks conventions, the band asserts that music has no labels, only emotions. An eclectic proposal where the violin leads, merges and surprises, inviting audiences to listen with new ears. More on contemporary violin and musical fusion.
