CHORIZA is a contemporary circus, theatre and dark‑humour performance that uses folklore and traditional practices to reflect on today’s consumption systems. Faustina leads the audience through an ancestral ritual: the slaughter of the pig, an act that goes beyond subsistence to become a tribute to life and death.

The piece challenges overproduction, industrial farming, animal exploitation and environmental destruction, honouring the knowledge of rural women and their circular economies. The chorizo becomes a symbol of resistance, community and memory: time, patience, healing. A work that asks what we are willing to sacrifice in the name of progress.
