Los días 26, 27 y 28 de diciembre llega al Auditorio Alfredo Kraus la cita habitual de las fechas navideñas, el XIV Concierto de Año Nuevo, de la Orquesta Sinfónica de Las Palmas. El programa cuenta con fragmentos de grandes obras del repertorio lírico y sinfónico y este año, con la increíble voz de Leonor Bonilla y el joven talento de la violinista Katia Nuez.

The Alfredo Kraus Auditorium dominates Las Canteras beach, facing the ocean right by the sand. Since it opened, in 1997, its name has been linked to that of the unforgettable tenor born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The architect Óscar Tusquets conceived it as a great fortress and the sculptor Juan Bordes created a powerful sculptural group inspired by Las Canteras beach, as a “symbolic theatre of the sea”.
The Auditorium’s symphonic and chamber halls regularly host the best international classical and contemporary music. At the beginning of the year it is the venue for the Canary Islands Music Festival. In addition to that event, there are the programmes of the Auditorium itself and of other institutions, such as the Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra and the Philharmonic Society of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, jazz and auteur music, among others.
