El Último Tren, by Comedia De*Sastre and directed by Gabriel Páez, is a “TragiCirComedy” blending theatre, circus and music to give voice to those who are rarely seen: the invisible ones.
Urano, Ofelia and their rat Ramona survive between sanity and madness under a bridge, watching trains go by… until one headline changes everything: The Last Train, the universe’s most famous talent show, has arrived in town, promising fortune and lifelong fame to anyone.
With humour, poetry and social critique, the show combines acrobatic lifts, balances, object manipulation, knife‑throwing and live music to create a dynamic, physical and emotionally resonant language.
Inspired by Eduardo Galeano’s The Nobodies and influenced by criollo grotesque, Shakespeare, Horace, Calderón and Toole, the piece honours the dignity of the “nobodies”, reminding us that if fleas can dream of buying a dog, why shouldn’t the “nobodies” dream of escaping poverty?
