LIBERTÉ is a stage experience that reflects on one of the great wounds of contemporary humanity: the disconnection from what is essential. The piece offers a physical and emotional journey through exhaustion, fragility, inner struggle and the real possibility of reclaiming the soul.
Five performers, accompanied by live music, embody universal states —mechanical routine, emptiness, collapse and the deep longing to remember who we are— creating a sensorial narrative where movement, singing and music awaken emotional memory.
The performance reminds us that even in our darkest moments, there is always a chance to reconnect with what truly matters and return to life from a more authentic place.
The Pérez Galdós Theatre is a cultural institution with more than a century of history. It was built in the Triana district, near Vegueta, on the left bank of the Guiniguada ravine. During this time it has been the prime centre for the performing arts on the island of Gran Canaria and the cultural heart of the city.
Today the Pérez Galdós Theatre is an architectural landmark, a social emblem and an inescapable political reference point for the capital and also for the island. It has a regular programme all year round and is the home of the Alfredo Kraus Opera Festival.
