Located in the Jesús Arencibia Cultural Space, the “Alexis Ravelo” Municipal Public Library is a meeting place for reading, creativity, and critical thinking in the neighborhood of Tamaraceite. It is named in honor of the Gran Canarian writer Alexis Ravelo (1971–2023), whose literary work stands out for its social commitment, its sharp portrayal of urban reality, and its major contribution to the Spanish crime fiction genre. Among his most acclaimed titles are The Strategy of the Pekingese, The Forbidden Miracles, and the series featuring Eladio Monroy.
This space reflects the literary spirit of the author and the cultural vitality of its surroundings, offering the public open access to knowledge and culture.
